Practical Guides
Clear tools and explainers for navigating adult-life systems, choices, and support needs.
Articles & Guides
FLDI will publish original and adapted writing about work, relationships, independence, community, disability adulthood, and the systems that shape everyday life.
Growing library
This section is being built to hold FLDI essays, practical guides, interviews, first-person perspectives, and research-informed explainers. Some pieces may begin as writing from Ryan J. Russell or other contributors and be revised for FLDI so they are current, accessible, and useful to a broader audience.
The first FLDI articles are being prepared now. No placeholder article is presented here as published content.
Clear tools and explainers for navigating adult-life systems, choices, and support needs.
Disabled adults, partners, and community members writing from lived experience without being reduced to inspiration or tragedy.
Thoughtful conversations about work, relationships, independence, community, identity, and the realities behind a full life.
Accessible pieces that connect evidence, policy, systems, and practical implications without pretending FLDI is a clinical or legal service.
Article library
As articles are added, this page will become the central library. Each article can have its own polished page with a title, subtitle, author, publication date, topic labels, readable body typography, pull quotes where useful, related links, and optional photography or video.
Future topic labels can include Work, Relationships, Independence, Community, Duchenne/Becker, Autism & Neurodivergence, Benefits & Systems, Accessibility, and Stories.
Built to expand
The site structure is being designed so a future Media section can sit naturally beside Articles when the FLDI YouTube channel is ready. That future area can hold documentaries, interviews, archive-response videos, and other FLDI original media without changing the article library.
The Media link is intentionally not public yet because the FLDI channel has not launched.
