Privacy
A simple privacy approach for a simple site.
FLDI's Version 1 website collects limited information. This notice explains what the public contact form is for and what visitors should avoid sending through it.
Information you choose to send
The general contact form asks for your name, email address, and message. The Get Involved form may also ask for optional contact details, location, links, areas of interest, and information about your experience. The Support Interest form asks for basic contact information and how you may want to support FLDI once a compliant giving pathway is available. FLDI uses this information to review and respond to inquiries and for reasonable follow-up related to the subject you contacted us about.
Form processing
The website is hosted on Netlify, and form submissions may be processed and stored through Netlify's form infrastructure as part of operating this site.
What not to send
Please do not use the website forms to send medical records, Social Security numbers, detailed benefits records, bank or credit-card information, passwords, or other highly sensitive personal information. FLDI is not currently operating a secure participant intake, clinical, legal, or benefits case-management portal through this website.
Résumés and CVs
The website does not currently collect résumé or CV files through its forms. If you choose to share one, the Get Involved page directs you to email it to contact@thefldi.org. Please remove sensitive identifiers that are not relevant to an expression of interest.
Support interest is not a donation or pledge
Joining the support interest list does not make a donation, create a pledge, establish a tax deduction, or authorize FLDI or another organization to charge you. It simply allows FLDI to contact you when an appropriate giving pathway becomes available.
Sale of information
FLDI does not sell contact-form information to advertisers or data brokers.
Future programs
Future mentorship, community, directory, scholarship, research, or other participant programs may require their own consent, confidentiality, safeguarding, and privacy procedures. Those procedures will be defined before information is collected for those purposes.
Questions
For privacy questions related to this website, contact contact@thefldi.org.
Interest lists
Names submitted to help or support FLDI
When you use the Join FLDI or Support FLDI forms, FLDI may collect your name, email, optional phone/location/organization information, timing or areas of interest, links you choose to provide, and your message. FLDI uses that information to maintain its volunteer/contributor/future-role and support-interest records and to follow up when a relevant opportunity or giving pathway is ready.
FLDI does not sell these contact lists. You may ask FLDI to stop contacting you or remove your information from an interest list by emailing contact@thefldi.org.
Please do not send unnecessary sensitive personal, medical, financial-account, Social Security, or identity-document information through these forms.
